Wat Charok Padang (‘Wat Botol’ or ‘Glass Bottles Temple’), located off federal road 175, makes an interesting stopover. This is a unique Siamese buddhist temple with some of its walls and roofs adorned with many glass bottles. It is great to see the glass bottles re-used in this manner. There is also a relic of a ‘sampan’ (boat), believed to be hundreds of years’ old that was found in a riverbed close by, on display in its compound.
