Tangga Kenari Seribu Tahun

Like a stairway to heaven, these steps form a long staircase path from Titi Hayun Eco-Forest Park for 5km all the way up to Regency Hotel Resort on Mount Jerai. There are actually 1334 steps altogether. The climb takes between 3 to 4 hours passing through various levels of dipterocarp forest and geosite environments with interesting flora and fauna. This grand open air staircase was the brainchild of Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Sanusi Junid, the Menteri Besar of Kedah and works began on 28th April 1997. No large old trees were cut for its construction
