For the tomb of a King, Makam Tunku Anum is modest but historic and it reminds of the years 1839 to 1854 when Kubang Pasu was a small independent state ruled by Tunku Anum himself after being bequeathed with the land, following his efforts and success in getting Kedah released from Siamese occupation.
